- General informations - <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Etna Extreme \u2013 100 del Vulcano is a running event along the streets of the Etna Park. Distances 100km; D+\/- 2,450 m; 50km; D+\/- 1,600 m.<\/p>

The routes are almost entirely on asphalt.<\/p>

To safeguard your own safety, you have the obligation not to stray from the route. The competitor who moves away from the marked roads is no longer under the responsibility of the Organisation. Kilometers are marked approximately every 5 km. Competitors must strictly respect the marked race route, avoiding taking shortcuts or cutting sections of the route. Departure from the official route, in addition to entailing sanctions, will take place at the competitor\u2019s sole risk.<\/p>

The tests will take place in any weather condition that does not put the safety of the participants at serious risk.<\/p>

The timetable may undergo variations, based on contingent situations, which will be communicated at the briefing.<\/p>

Competitors have the obligation to provide any assistance to participants in difficulty.<\/p>

The bib must be worn on the chest or belly and always and entirely visible throughout the race. It must therefore be placed over all clothing and under no circumstances fixed on the bag or on a leg. Sponsors must not be changed or hidden.<\/p>

It is forbidden to be accompanied on the route by a person who is not regularly registered.<\/p>

It is prohibited to receive food or liquids outside the refreshment points.<\/p>

For safety reasons, the use of headphones to listen to iPods or similar devices is not permitted.<\/p>

The route will not be closed to vehicular traffic, competitors are required to respect the highway code.<\/p>

In case of abandoning the race along the route, the competitor is obliged to communicate his abandonment by being registered as having withdrawn at the nearest control post; the organization will take care of your return from the checkpoint itself upon arrival.<\/p>

Each competitor expressly renounces the right to exercise their image rights during the tests as well as renounces any appeal against the organization and its authorized partners for the use made of their image.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Participation is open to ACSI or FIDAL or RUNCARD members holding a medical certificate for competitive activity. Non-members can participate by applying for a membership card for the ACSI and by presenting a copy of the identity document, tax code and medical certificate for competitive activity.<\/p>

Foreign athletes: Participation is open for athletes in possession of a medical certificate for non competitive activity drawn up on the form downloadable HERE<\/a>. The organization will issue the ACSI card<\/p>

The Organization reserves the right not to allow participation in athletes sanctioned for doping, persons guilty of antisporting and\/ or immoral conduct even outside the sports field, to persons who have in the past shown hostility towards the Organisation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Registrations will be possible until september 2, 2026 on the website www.100delvulcano.com<\/a><\/p>

On September 5th it will be possible to register at the race secretariat, in Piazza Spedalieri, in Bronte.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

  • the first 10 members: \u20ac 40.00<\/li>
  • Until February 29th: \u20ac 55.00<\/li>
  • From March 1st to July 6th: \u20ac 65.00<\/li>
  • From 7th July to 15th August: \u20ac 75.00<\/li>
  • From 16 to 31st August: \u20ac 85.00<\/li>
  • From 1st to 2nd September: \u20ac 100.00<\/li>
  • The 6th September: \u20ac 130.00<\/li><\/ul>

    50 km del Vulcano:<\/strong><\/p>

    • Until February 28th: \u20ac 50.00<\/li>
    • From March 1st to May 31st: \u20ac 55.00<\/li>
    • From June 1st to July 5th: \u20ac 60.00<\/li>
    • From 6th July to 15th August: \u20ac 65.00<\/li>
    • From 16 to 31st August: \u20ac 70.00<\/li>

    • The 5th September: \u20ac 80.00<\/li><\/ul>

      IUTA and Club Supermarathon members are entitled to a 10% discount.<\/p>

      By adding \u20ac 5.00 to the registration fee it will be possible to:<\/p>

      obtain a refund of 75% of the registration fee, or transfer the 75% of the registration fee to another athlete or to the following year, in case of refusal to participate in the race by August 23rd;<\/p>

      obtain a 50% refund of the registration fee, or transfer the 50% of the registration fee to another athlete or to the following year, in case of refusal to participate in the race from August 24th to September 5th;<\/p>

      Without the Refund Option, the registration fee is not refundable nor transferable to other athletes or to the following year.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

      Payment of the registration fee can be made using one of the following methods:<\/p>

      • Bank transfer<\/li>

        - Cancellation - <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        In the event of cancellation of the race due to force majeure 12 days or more before the race, the Organization undertakes to refund 50% of the registration fee paid.<\/p>

        In case of cancellation due to force majeure less than 12 days before the race, no refund will be due to the participants.
        In the event of interruption or cancellation of the race for atmospheric reasons, or for any other reason independent of the Organisation, no refund will be due to the participants.
        If the event is recovered at a future date, the organization will decide whether to retain the entire fee of those already registered, or apply a reinstatement fee based on the expenses already incurred by the organization.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

        On the route there will be organization staff in constant contact with the base. Ambulances with paramedical staff will be stationed at various points along the route, as well as at the start and finish. Control points will be set up along the route, where organization staff will monitor the passage of the athletes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

        - Environment - <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        The race takes place partly within fully protected natural parks and ecosystems. Competitors must behave in an environmentally friendly manner. It is forbidden to scatter rubbish, collect plants and flowers, remove rocks or disturb fauna. Anyone caught breaking the rules of conduct in the Park, in addition to incurring the sanctions of the race, will incur any sanctions provided for by the Park regulations.<\/p>

        Along the entire route, near each refreshment point, waste bins will be allocated where competitors are obliged to throw away used glasses and any other waste.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

        The organization reserves the right to suspend or cancel the race if the weather conditions put the safety of the participants, volunteers or rescuers at risk.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

          The equipment check will be carried out when collecting the bib. The race bib will not be given to anyone who does not show all the mandatory equipment to the staff.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

            100 km:<\/strong><\/p>

            The maximum time to complete the race is set at 20 hours.<\/p>

            Three time gates will be established:<\/p>

            • at km 31: it will be possible to pass until 5.30<\/li>
            • at km 50: it will be possible to pass until 9.00<\/li>
            • at km 87: it will be possible to pass until 5pm<\/li><\/ul>

              50 km:<\/strong><\/p>

              The maximum time to complete the race is set at 10h45\u2019<\/p>

              Time gate:<\/p>

              • at km 33: it will be possible to pass until 5pm<\/li><\/ul>

                Services along the route will be available until 8pm on race day for those who get through the gates in time. A broom service will travel along the route following the last competitor, in order to help those who have retired and prevent any injured people from being left without assistance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

                Competitors who arrive at the gates outside the time limit, injured people, those who are judged by the medical staff to be unfit to continue the race, and other athletes who wish to withdraw voluntarily, must do so at the nearest refreshment point. From there, they will be accompanied to their arrival via a shuttle service. It is possible that, for logistical reasons, the withdrawn competitors will have to wait some time before being brought back to the finish area. Any competitor who withdraws from the race outside the pre-established points will have to return to the finish area on their own behalf, immediately communicating their withdrawal.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

                There are refreshment points approximately every 5 km.<\/p>

                Only competitors with a clearly visible bib have access to the refreshment point.
                Refreshment food and drinks must be consumed on site; it is forbidden to drink directly from refreshment bottles; waste must be thrown into the appropriate containers.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
